Excellent book with lots of different walks from super easy forest walks to more experienced hikes in the South Island this book is awesome!

Amazing book , well written lovely photos. My only problem is l am a fit 74 year old but the walks are just too much for me .
I expected a number of shorter walks to be in there. An expensive mistake on my part

As a South Island-based dog-walking enthusiast, I thought this book was fantastic.

My dog and I have done a few of these hikes already and my experiences were inline with the author’s notes. This makes me feel like I can rely on the book as a useful source of information on the hikes I haven’t done yet.

I love the photos, the humour, and the snippets of personal storytelling in the book too.

Great book, happy to have purchased it. I did not realize it is only South Island hikes, we live in the North Island and getting to the South Island is not that easy with our dog. So sadly doubt we will get to do much in the book, but it’s still nice to have it for friends to reference.
